Back in March, on the heels of a $125 million cash infusion from investors and a $1 billion “unicorn” valuation, clothing rental giant Rent the Runway appeared to be running high. But then a surge in membership appeared to overwhelm their existing infrastructure, and customers complained of long wait times to speak with customer service reps, and a number of quality control issues.
